"Dear Isahrai, I was so happy to see that you had finally updated your blog. One question though, aren't pictures supposed to go in 'Pixotic,' the photo section and you're supposed to write in 'Quixotic,' the blog section? Love, Name Withheld to Protect the Annoying"Saturday 01 December 2007
I'm 4GreenTires -- and U Can Be, 2!
For the past few months, I've been working with a new nonprofit organization aimed at helping to reduce the amount of wasted gasoline -- and subsequent CO2 emissions -- by encouraging people to keep their tires filled with air. If a car's tires are properly inflated, it will save half a gallon of gas at each fill up. I haven't driven a car in years yet even I know that gas prices are insane these days. Who wouldn't want an easy -- and free! -- way to save gas and thus, money... and thus from the thus, reduce their negative impact on the environment.Thursday 27 September 2007
John Cusack Has Bad Posture
I enjoy John Cusack whenever I see him as "John Cusack"... Admittedly, I enjoy him as characters in his movies as well. But John Cusack as John Cusack is intelligent, witty, and charmingly slouchy without the distraction and farce of scripted romantic comedy. Today, on Huffington Post, John Cusack as John Cusack introduced me to the new book, The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism through a 17 minute discussion with the author, Naomi Klein.Saturday 09 December 2006
The Big Announcement
We are thrilled to announce the launch of our exciting new business venture in Zihuatanejo. We love our lives here in Zihua, but want to become more integrated into the local community. With both of us working from home, it has been easy for us to become hermits and to forget the reasons we choose to live in Mexico: the beauty of the Mexican people, nature and traditions. For over a year we have been planning, researching and developing our business ideas. It is important to us to create a business that forges stronger connections between us and the local culture and also amongst the community at large. We are now ready to implement our plan to help promote a responsible, culturally aware, and peaceful way of life for tourists, local Mexicans and expatriates alike.Wednesday 06 December 2006

...One of my favorite 5-10 minute "living life" activities is poking around Life Clever which provides me with plenty of goodies to improve my productivity... or to at least give me a moment or two of silliness.Saturday 19 August 2006
Take This Website Away from Me before I Cry

It's Like Writing... In a Room...
I fired up WriteRoom for the first time and was instantly impressed. The software is basic and that's the whole bleeping point. No bells and whistles to distract you. Want bold or italics? Can't do it. Want to justify-align your text? No go. Want to hyperlink and mark-up with external editing notes? Seriously. Not going to happen. All of that will take place in your words final destination. All that WriteRoom provides is a black full-screen distraction-free writing space with a funky neon green (very easy on the eyes) typewriter font.
