I'm 4GreenTires -- and U Can Be, 2!

For the past few months, I've been working with a new nonprofit organization aimed at helping to reduce the amount of wasted gasoline -- and subsequent CO2 emissions -- by encouraging people to keep their tires filled with air. If a car's tires are properly inflated, it will save half a gallon of gas at each fill up. I haven't driven a car in years yet even I know that gas prices are insane these days. Who wouldn't want an easy -- and free! -- way to save gas and thus, money... and thus from the thus, reduce their negative impact on the environment.

4GreenTires

Participating in 4GreenTires campaign is ridiculously easy:
1. Go to the website www.4GreenTires.org.
2. Ooh and aww over the amazing, brilliant, beautiful, fun logo and website design. Ahem.
3. Select "request a tire gauge" to get an air pressure gauge sent to you.
4. When the gauge arrives, follow the instructions on the website to check your tire pressure and adjust accordingly.
5. Return to the website to record your results and track the cumulative savings of 4GreeTires drivers in terms of gas and CO2 emissions.

The 4GreenTires team is doing this project simply out of a commitment to finding simple, efficient ways to promote greener living. I hope you'll take a few minutes to help out -- and help your budget out at the same time! And I won't even make you take me out to dinner on all the money you'll be saving...

Your turn.
